New multifunctional (coated) textile materials, so-called membranes to form the shells of the new shelters will be developed.
These multi-layered textile structures composed of supporting layers will exhibit targeted interactions with radiation, sound and temperature in the shelter, and exhibit superior resistance to degradation, to light, pollution and other environmental conditions.
They will provide a safe and healthy shelter for their inhabitants.
Four different membranes types will be worked on:
- Light and robust coated textiles
- Coated textiles with good thermal insulation
- Coated textiles with improved acoustical
- Extremely lightweight coated membranes
